Welcome to the DiBartolomeis Legacy Art Museum, a free public platform and digital archive created by Dr. Michael DiBartolomeis. Known for his accomplished scientific career as a public health toxicologist, this site integrates elements from his dual careers. By preserving this historical archive, the museum bridges the worlds of science and art for public study, legacy, and education. This uniquely conceived virtual museum serves as a memoir, in largely a visual format.

The DiBartolomeis Legacy Art Museum Website features original art, photographs, and stories I created over my lifetime; including my new work until I am forced to stop. Most of my existing work is catalogued. I am also exhibiting selections of my work in electronic books or videos.

The purpose of the Legacy Art Museum is to provide a visually interesting digital archive of my artwork. It is entirely non-commercial, ad-free, and open to everyone. My idea for this website stems from a universal human impulse: the desire to leave a lasting footprint. Having no biological heirs, this archive serves as my legacy—a way to ensure that a lifetime of observation is not lost to time or neglect. 

Although I have archived digital images of my artwork and photographs on my computer’s hard drive, the public cannot access it. Furthermore, a large number of my actual physical artwork is scattered around the country in private collections or lost and/or destroyed. Almost all my pre-1987 artwork is gone; I didn't want to lose any more of it so I am exhibiting it in this virtual museum.
